Master of Science - Hotel Administration (Thesis)

As a master’s student at the Harrah College of Hospitality, students gain unparalleled face-to-face access to experts who are leading the industry as well as the researchers who are tackling the industry’s most pressing questions. Students examine the latest industry trends, engage in dynamic group projects, and gain specialized management skills that will prepare them to take on high-level executive positions in the global hospitality and tourism arenas.

More and more companies are seeking candidates with advanced degrees to serve on their management teams. Courses in financial analysis, research methodologies, marketing systems, and other business fundamentals will help students increase their marketability among employers in the hotel, casino, restaurant, travel, entertainment and event sectors.

The “Thesis Track” is for students interested in research and/or want to complete a PhD degree. Students in the “Thesis Track” will secure a thesis chair by the start of their second semester and work with the chair to finalize a research topic. Copies of the completed thesis must meet the guidelines of the UNLV Graduate College and be completed according to published deadlines.
