About Bachelor of Science - Hospitality and Tourism Management - General
People are traveling the country and the world as never before, so there’s a serious need for professionals who can make them feel welcome when they reach their destination. At the University of New Haven, students will pair big-picture business knowledge with industry-specific skills (even the art of wine appreciation) to become a world-class expert in hospitality and tourism management.
Students will:
- Learn front-office skills, including sales, marketing, accounting, purchasing, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Expand their knowledge into areas of culinary arts, guest services, and event planning.
- Take field trips to conventions and trade shows.
- Gain hands-on experience through an internship.
- Work directly with faculty and staff on hospitality-related events and projects, such as managing the University of New Haven’s
tourism impact key issues related to sustainability.
