About Bachelor of Arts - Criminology and Criminal Justice
University of Northern Iowa offers the most established criminology and criminal justice undergraduate degree program in the state of Iowa. While criminal justice studies the law enforcement system and operations, criminology focuses on the sociological and psychological behaviors of criminals to determine why they commit crimes. So, UNI’s criminology and criminal justice program covers both sides of the system. That means whether students want to dive into forensics, police work or social justice reform, this UNI program is here for them.
Beyond the classroom, students can find student organizations and events and opportunities for internships and field experience:

- Join the Criminology Club as a great way to get involved on campus, meet new people and learn more about the criminology major and career opportunities.
