Bachelor of Arts - Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages - Spanish Teaching

Students interested in TESOL are often curious about other languages and cultures, and they want to help new English speakers in their language studies at home or abroad.

Courses emphasize language and language teaching, and they explore the interrelationships between language and culture. In addition, the program will help learners develop a solid foundation in teaching methods and classroom leadership through professional education courses and student teaching experiences. They will gain valuable skills in writing and public speaking that make them sought-after candidates in a variety of professions.

Graduates majoring in TESOL teaching will graduate with the confidence, skills and knowledge needed to teach English to speakers of other languages at the K-12 level (students in this program acquire the licensure needed to teach in public schools), or even internationally.
