About Master of Research - Veterinary Science

Research at the institution spans across species, enhancing the health and well-being of animals. It encompasses investigating technological solutions to reduce lameness in sheep; deciphering intricate mechanisms underlying cancer, cardiovascular, and degenerative diseases; and unraveling the functioning of viruses and bacteria, enabling improved understanding and treatment strategies.

  • Centre for Applied Bioethics (CAB)                                                         As part of the Unit of Assessment (UoA6 Agriculture, Food and Veterinary Science), the School of Veterinary Medicine has ascended within the UoA rankings. The REF2021 results demonstrate a substantial increase in the proportion of research outputs rated as “world-leading” or “internationally excellent” compared to the previous REF exercise in 2014. The research environment within the Unit has also been acknowledged as 75% “world-leading” and 25% “internationally excellent.”
