2-Term Pathway - Pre-Masters Program - Business and economics - Continue to Master of Science - Development Finance

The Pre-Master program is designed to prepare international students who have completed a Bachelor’s degree for entry to postgraduate studies at the University of Reading. If students successfully complete the Pre-Master’s Program to the required level of attainment in all academic areas and achieve the necessary English language score, they will have the opportunity to progress onto a place on a suitable program of postgraduate study.

Students who choose the MSc Development Finance at the University of Reading will have the chance to join one of the highest-ranking United Kingdom universities and one of the top 20 universities in the world for Agriculture and Forestry (QS World University Rankings by Subject, 2023). The University of Reading is the only United Kingdom university ranked in the top 50.

In this program, students will explore key issues within the field of development finance and microenterprise finance, against the background of major perspectives on development and macroeconomic policy. They will also investigate specialist areas within the financial services sector as well as other topics relating to development.
