This curriculum is tailored for international students who have completed secondary education and aims to facilitate their entry into undergraduate degrees at the university.

Upon successful completion of the University Foundation Program, students who meet academic and English language requirements automatically advance to an undergraduate program at the University of Reading. Most programs span one academic year, divided into three terms. Each term comprises seven to eight teaching weeks followed by an examination week. Students typically participate in 21 to 25 hours of classroom study per week.

The BA War, Peace, and International Relations program delves into warfare and strategy within international politics, utilizing the expertise of the university’s strategic specialists. Students explore the role of military force, defense policies, historical perspectives on war, and ethical dilemmas such as the justification for military action and the value of peace at any cost.
