About Bachelor of Science - Nutrition

Nutrition is the study of nutrients-carbohydrate, protein, fat, vitamins and minerals-that are essential for life. Nutrition students learn how these nutrients are ingested, digested, absorbed, metabolized, stored and excreted. Nutrition also involves the study of food availability and how the nutrition choices we make can affect our health.

Note: To be considered for admission, applicants must complete a minimum of 30 credit units of university-level course work prior to April 30 of the application year and must attain a minimum weighted average of 70 per cent. Acceptance into the Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (B.Sc.[Nutr.]) is based on the calculated postsecondary admission average (60%), a test of critical skills (30%) and personal video interview (10%).
