About Academic Accelerator - Bachelor of Arts - Interdisciplinary Studies - College of Arts and Sciences
The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program for international students with good English-language skills. It supplements immersive classes taught in English with just the right amount of support.
As a student in the Academic Accelerator, learners will receive:
- The right amount of support for their academic and English-speaking needs
- A full year’s worth of college credits
- Access to courses exclusively for international students
- English-language help with words they need to know for their classes
- A mix of classes with international and the United States students.
The College of Arts and Sciences offers two interdisciplinary studies degrees, the Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (BAIS) and the Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies (BSIS), for students who want to pursue interdisciplinary studies without a major in a single department or in one of the structured interdepartmental degree programs. The Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies programs in the College of Arts and Sciences must focus primarily on disciplines in the humanities, social sciences, and fine arts.
