About Extended Accelerator - Bachelor of Arts - Journalism & Mass Communications - Broadcast Journalism
The Extended Accelerator Program (EAP) combines language, culture and academics to give students a deep understanding of life in and out of the American classroom and includes personalized English-language instruction and tutoring.
As a student in the Extended Accelerator, learners will get:
- A contextual curriculum that mixes language, culture and academics
- Exclusive access to a course focusing on life in the United States and in the local community
- A full year’s worth of college credits
- Extensive English-language tutoring, academic advising and student support
- Personalized English-language support specific to the classes they take.
The students graduating from the Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communications with Broadcast Journalism will be able to:
- Demonstrate an understanding the history of journalism and mass communications, the diversity of groups in a global society in relationship to communications and the role of journalism and mass communications in society.
- Demonstrate the ability to apply tools and technologies appropriate for the production, editing and presentation of visual, aural, textual or other media content.
- Apply basic numerical and statistical concepts and methods appropriate for the communications professions.
- Demonstrate the ability to conduct research, gather information, write clearly and correctly and present relevant news or persuasive information at a professional level.
