Bachelor of Arts - Media and Journalism - Journalism

In the Bachelor of Arts - Media and Journalism major at University of South Dakota, students will engage in interactive projects and activities that will prepare them with the skills and experiences they need to succeed in the rapidly-changing media industry.

Students will develop writing, research and creative thinking skills as they explore topics like advertising, public relations, broadcasting, print, video production, social media marketing and multimedia storytelling. They will benefit from hands-on learning experiences, an expansive internship network and expert faculty who are dedicated to helping them succeed. 

The journalism specialization prepares students for a future as a journalist. They will learn to research, write and present stories in a multi-platform media market as they develop print, broadcast and online journalism skills.
