About 3-Semester Pathway - Pre-Master's Programme with Pre-Sessional English - Master of Arts - Film Studies
The Level 6 Pre-Master’s Program is designed to prepare international students for postgraduate study in the United Kingdom. The program will allow students to improve their English while learning the study skills and research methods that they will need during their Master’s degree studies.
The duration of the Level 6 program is two semesters. Each semester consists of a minimum of 13 teaching weeks. Students will be expected to timetable self-study hours in addition to the classroom-based hours. Each module will have an assessment schedule, which will be completed by the end of the appropriate semester. Assessments will be designed to demonstrate learning across the individual modules of the program and to allow candidates to experience a wide range of the assessment methods used in United Kingdom postgraduate program.
The Master of Arts in Film Studies will give graduates the chance to examine the evolution of cinema and develop their own analytical skills. They will gain valuable insights into the movie industry, looking at everything from film theory to current issues in film distribution. Students will develop in-depth knowledge of the most influential theories and approaches to understanding film. They will also find out about the latest debates and concerns around the industry.
