Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Cloud and Network Computing (Placement Year)

Gain a detailed understanding of network communications specialising fully in physical and Cloud based technologies. You will focus on Cyber Security, Programming, Software Development, Data Applications, Project Management, Artificial Intelligence, and the Internet of Things (through Amazon AWS, Juniper, and CISCO technologies).

To develop a detailed understanding of corporate cloud computing and network communications

To enable students to specialise and become expert in lead networking vendor technologies such as Amazon AWS, Juniper, and CISCO

To develop a comprehensive knowledge of computer security considerations

To provide a programme of study in which the student’s general education is enhanced, including transferable skills

Produce graduates who are fit to undertake employment in industry, commerce or public service as cloud architects or computer networking engineers, or (for those with suitable degree classification) to undertake programmes of further study or research 

On successful completion of study, we will issue the following award: BSc (Hons) Cloud and Network Computing

Work placements

Students are encouraged to undertake a suitable Industrial Placement (Internship) lasting up to a maximum of 1-year.

Placement can be in the UK or overseas.
