About 3-Term Pathway - International Foundation Year in Business and Social Sciences - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Psychology

Program Description

This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Strathclyde followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Strathclyde. In the international foundation year, students will study courses related to their intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance their skills as a student. Advancement into students' intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.

The International Foundation Year in Business & Social Sciences will familiarize students with a wide area of study. They will develop their critical thinking skills, creativity, analytical and team working skills, providing them with the most crucial skills required as a successful graduate.

Psychology degree courses at the University of Strathclyde are a popular choice with undergraduates. Studying with them, students will look at conditions of human behaviour – how we learn, remember, coordinate our actions and interact with others – and the reasons for differences between individuals, such as personality or intelligence.

As well as careers as a professional psychologist, psychology graduates have a lot of options open to them. Many go on to further study or to careers in teaching, human resource management, social work, as well as many other areas.

BPS Accredited

To become a Chartered Psychologist the course must be accredited by the British Psychology Society (BPS). This BA Hons degree in Psychology from the University of Strathclyde is BPS accredited.
