Program Description
This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre for the University of Strathclyde followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Strathclyde. Advancement into the intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program.
This course was developed in response to the demand for design engineers who can design and assess new ships and offshore structures.
Students will be introduced to ultimate strength, fatigue and design concepts for structural components of ships and offshore floating systems. They will also gain the knowledge of material behaviour together with factors influencing the dynamic behaviour of offshore installations.
The Department of Naval Architecture, Ocean & Marine Engineering (NAOME), a leading institution in Scotland, offers excellent teaching and research facilities, which will expand career opportunities in naval architecture, marine, offshore oil and gas industries.
