About Master of Science - International Events Management
Events entertain, inform and inspire people across the world. Joining the University of Surrey's International Events Management MSc puts learners in a position to understand how events are envisioned, planned, staged and tailored to global audiences. Moreover, the course gives students the strategic planning skills to organize events that will achieve political, economic and social objectives.
Alongside the University's international reputation and impressive global connections, students will learn from tutors with experience spanning festivals, sports, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) and non-profit events, and from talks by top industry experts.

This course is accredited by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
This course and facilities provide an engaging environment in which students can develop and understand the challenges faced by events professionals. Moreover, they'll also have the opportunity to take part in challenging industry-relevant assessments that will teach them how to stage and evaluate different types of events. Better yet, this includes the chance to run their own live event as part of a small management team and also join field trips.
This course covers valuable business skills such as finance, marketing communications and project management. At the same time, learners will study a range of specialist modules which currently include Event Design and Production, and Event Portfolio and Destination Management.
Some of the International Events Management graduates have gone on to start their career as conference services and facilities managers, project managers at an event agency and senior executives in destination management services.
