Extended Accelerator Bachelor of Science - Civil Engineering (Optional Co-op)

The Civil Engineering Program is widely known for its practical curriculum, high academic standards and student-centered emphasis. The Civil Engineering Program is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. Students take courses in the following areas: Environmental, Geotechnical, Structural and Water Resources Engineering.  Students define their program of study in consultation with their faculty advisor. All engineering students complete a Senior Design Project, where they apply Civil Engineering design methods towards solution of a real world problem.

Civil engineering is a broad field with endless possibilities of research, design, development, construction, and maintenance. The specialized areas that are emphasized in our curriculum include geotechnical, environmental, structural, and water resources engineering. Civil engineers tend to work in government, institutes, corporations, firms, non-profit organizations, and schools. They ensure our planet is being cultivated in a way that will maintain its natural resources. Civil engineering is a rewarding and exciting field because at the end of the day you get to see the end results of your hard work.
