Information technology (IT) is integral to human lives. It supports scientific breakthroughs, makes organizations more effective and whole sectors of the economy depend on it. All this requires professionals with a solid understanding of technology and the environment organizations operate in.
The BSc (Hons) Information Technology enables students to top up their IT, ICT or Computing Foundation Degree or equivalent qualification, to turn it into an honours degree. Students will develop vital professional skills in programming, security, the web, forensics and business.
Students will apply what they learn to a computing project or information systems dissertation. Gain an inside track on the industry through presentations from visiting professionals. Build vital professional and personal skills and graduate ready to succeed in their career.
Students will choose from a broad range of IT career, including systems analysis, database analysis, programming, software engineering, network administration, web administration and e-commerce.
