About Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Communication, Media and Film and Visual Arts (NKM)

The Communication, Media and Film and Visual Arts program combines a foundation in artistic skills with an analysis of contemporary media institutions and production practices.

Visual Arts provides a strong foundation in studio practices (drawing, painting, print/digital/integrated media, photography, sculpture, bio art, etc.) and art history with exhibition opportunities and exposure to regional cultural institutions.

It offers opportunities for internship placements to obtain hands-on experience in areas including media production/post-production; advertising, marketing and public relations; arts administration and festival organization.

Communication, Media and Film engages the rapidly changing media environment and the implications of emerging digital technologies/platforms. It provides state-of-the-art production/post-production facilities featuring industry-standard equipment and software.

The program includes courses in drawing, painting, print media, photography, sculpture, bio art and integrated media (digital imaging, sound and video). The University of Windsor offers a complete range of advanced, industry-standard digital media equipment and state-of-the-art post-production labs. The University of Windsor's teaching and studio facilities are also complemented by project and internship opportunities at on-campus and off-campus media outlets, production houses and local arts and cultural organizations.
