Program Description

The University of York International Pathway College is part of the University of York, and offers pathway courses to prepare students for a bachelor’s or master’s degree.

Electronic engineering is transforming the world. 

Electronic engineers are pushing boundaries in fields from computing to communication, from healthcare to environmental monitoring. Ever-increasing demands for innovation require graduates who are knowledgeable, highly-skilled, professional and adept at communication and project management: graduates who are equipped to design the next generation of electronics.

This course will enable students to function with confidence in the challenging world of electronics, as a designer, in research or as a manager. They will start with fundamental principles of electronic engineering, and learn more advanced concepts, later choosing from a range of specialist option modules.

The courses are very flexible, and offer students the opportunity to either become a specialist or generalist by choosing their own route through the degree. Students will be fully supported at all times by staff who are enthusiastic about their subjects and willing to help.
