About Master of Education - Educational Psychology

Program Description 

Psychologists have five general areas in which they may focus their expertise on
  • human learning and memory,
  • human cognition (thinking) and problem solving,
  • human development,
  • measurement and evaluation of human learning, and
  • measurement and evaluation of programs that are intended to increase human learning, memory, thinking or problem solving.
Many students earning a master’s degree in Educational Psychology will continue on to obtain a School Psychology Specialist degree. Others will pursue a career with their Masters in Educational Psychology degree.

An Educational Psychology master’s degree has the potential to enhance people's present careers, such as teachers, administrators, counselors, nurses, social workers and trainers. Also, there are other potential career opportunities, such as community college instructor, instructional  software development, research associate, business training, hospital training, military training (as non-military personnel), program evaluation, grant writing and data management.
