About Bachelor of Interior Design
Yorkville University's Bachelor of Interior Design program offers an exceptional education for individuals passionate about crafting sustainable, innovative designs for evolving generational needs. Accredited by the Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA), the Association of Registered Interior Designers of Ontario (ARIDO), and Interior Designers of Canada (IDC), this program equips students with technical expertise, creative problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of visual literacy.
The program blends immersive studio experiences with industry internships to prepare students for thriving careers. Its comprehensive curriculum covers everything from design theory, drafting, and digital rendering to building systems, codes, and regulations, and includes preparation for the National Council of Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ) exam—bringing graduates closer to becoming registered interior designers.
Students enjoy flexibility with in-class learning complemented by options for online classes, accommodating busy schedules. The degree culminates in a showcase thesis project where students design their dream space, highlighting proficiency in creating functional, beautiful, and environmentally conscious designs while emphasizing the societal impact of interior design.
A $10,000 scholarship is currently applied to the Bachelor of Interior design's tuition fees. This scholarship is exclusive to applicants through ApplyBoard! (May not apply to all regions)
The Bachelor of Interior Design program at Yorkville University is structured in a three-term year. Students first-year tuition will be for three semesters.

Please note: Please be advised that intakes prior to October 2024 will be 3 years duration and $19,865 for the first year of tuition. As of October 2024 this program is being revamped by the school therefore length and financial values are set to display as such.
