About Bachelor of Arts - Economics (Optional Co-op)
Economics provides a framework to think critically about the decisions society makes. Individuals make economic choices daily and the nation also makes crucial economic choices. By studying economics, students will acquire foundational skills that address both the study of ordinary life and the wealth of nations. They will learn within an environment dedicated to helping them grow into a capable, modern economist.
Economics at Acadia University offers the choice to pursue a Bachelor of Arts or a Bachelor of Science in economics. Students can easily pair economics in a double major with business or many other programs. In the Bachelor of Arts program, co-op opportunities are available if students want to combine classroom and workplace experience. In the honours program, they can pursue individual research interests and develop advanced skills. Students will also benefit from one-on-one faculty mentoring.
Gaining a degree in economics sets students on a path to excellence. Acadia University has a strong track record and past students have earned admission into graduate studies at prestigious schools. They also pursue successful career paths within banking, government, consulting, and elsewhere.
