About Extended Accelerator - Bachelor of Arts - Latin American Studies
The Extended Accelerator Program (EAP) is a three-semester program for students seeking an immersive English-learning experience. The program gives students firsthand practical and cultural understanding of the Adelphi campus and New York area through its contextual curriculum. Students may enter the program in the spring, summer or fall. Upon completion of the program, students progress into the second year of their undergraduate education with a full year’s worth of academic credits.
Latin American Studies is a diverse field that bridges the social sciences, natural sciences and humanities in the study of the Americas. Study the pre-Colombian societies of the Americas, the physical and cultural geography of the relevant regions, cultural and linguistic diversity in Latin America, philosophy, history, economics and economic development, international relations and political systems, globalization and international migration, and the music, literature, art, and popular culture in the Americas.
