About Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Fine Art (Extended Degree)
For students who want to pursue a creative degree at Arts University Plymouth but feel they have yet to acquire the experience and range of skills necessary, the Extended BA program will prepare them for entry to one of the university's BA (Hons) undergraduate courses.
This four-year route offers an exploratory year, developing students' insight into a range of art, design and media skills and approaches, before progressing onto a specialist degree of their choice.
Arts University Plymouth's Extended BA environment is dynamic and supportive, helping students discover their own particular passions and strengths within the creative arts, whilst building their academic confidence, purpose and direction.
Students will also gain first-hand experience of their chosen specialism, in the form of a module of specialist personal investigation where they can develop their own interests in their chosen degree subject.
Arts University Plymouth's BA (Hons) Fine Art program promotes contemporary art practice in its broadest sense. The university encourages an ambitious, self-directed and critically engaged approach to creative practice.
This is a dynamic program where students will gain skills to critically question and actively create. They will explore interdisciplinary modes of practice and gain valuable experience of the creative sector creating lasting professional networks for their creative future.
