The Engineering Technology department in APSU offers degrees in engineering technology. This is similar to but not the same thing as a degree in engineering. The BS in Engineering Technology with a concentration in Electrical Engineering Technology will prepare for employment in the electronic industry at the level of Engineering Technologist / Engineer. With a BSET degree in the Electrical concentration, students will be specialized in industrial electronics with the knowledge on analog and digital circuit analysis and design, and the job prospects for this type of skill set are strong. Virtually every modern industry utilizes electronics systems and structures, and these companies need employees to assist in the service and setup of sophisticated equipment.
