Master of Arts in Teaching - Teaching - Secondary Education

The M.A.T. programs in the College of Education are all nationally accredited. The university have great relationships with many school districts in middle Tennessee and are on the cutting edge of changing how teachers are prepared.

In the Secondary Education M.A.T. program students will have a practical and comprehensive liberal arts education. The Martha Dickerson Eriksson College of Education will provide students with the important skills, pedagogical knowledge, and dispositional requirements for teaching high school students.

Potential students will have a bachelor's degree in one of the major subject areas and enjoy working with adolescents in small and large group settings.

All classes are taught by dynamic and experienced Austin Peay State University faculty who have years of experience in the secondary subject areas and have all worked extensively in teacher education and leadership.
