About Master of Science - Public Health and Health Promotion

On this course students develop the skills to change and influence health policy at a local, national and global level. As science and research progresses, students learn to use these developments to draw their own research conclusions and to address areas of health to really make a difference in society.

Students will look at local issues such as the effects of the Heathrow expansion on public health and international topics like obesity or contagious viruses. Students will be at the forefront in developing or improving existing approaches in policy to solve these challenges.

This course covers many aspects of health in its broadest sense including health promotion and public health; health care law and ethics; health and social policy and health service research.

Students learn the skills to support individuals, families and communities in their environment whether through public health campaigns, government initiatives or advice on a one-to-one basis. Students graduate from this course equipped with the skills to become a key driver for societal change.
