Program Description

Mathematics is a driving force behind many of today’s advancements in medicine, economics and business, and science and technology.  As a Bachelor of Mathematics student one can choose from a broad range of program options according to one's interests and career goals. The solid mathematical knowledge and skills students acquire at Carleton will give them a competitive edge in a wide variety of careers and prepare them to contribute to the next generation of innovations.

The General program in Statistics provides students with the background they will need to work as a methodologist in a variety of statistics-related fields. The Honours program prepares them for a career as a professional statistician, for work in actuarial science, or for further advanced studies
