General English - Intensive (25 lessons/week)

Program Description

The Intensive General English Course is suitable for students who want to maximise on work carried out in the Standard Course in order to progress as rapidly as possible. This course takes place all year round.

In the morning class, students will work on improving the skills involved with speaking, listening, reading and writing, so that they can improve their comprehension and communicate more freely. Students will also work on their linguistic knowledge, increasing their vocabulary and deepening their understanding of the grammar and structure of the language. Courses at CES are communicative and task-based, using a core text book, the most up to date technology and authentic materials.

Students will receive expert tuition and ongoing feedback from their teachers in order for them to make rapid and lasting progress. With access to the CES Online Learning Platform, students will be able to plan their studies to make the most of your stay.

Levels available in the mornings: Elementary (A1), Pre-intermediate (A2),  Intermediate (B1),  Upper Intermediate (B2) Advanced (C1). 

The intensive option includes three afternoon lessons a week Monday - Thursday 13:20 - 14:25 (25 lessons), or 14:40 - 15:45 (30 lessons) in Canada. These sessions are focused on further improving student's speaking skills and ability to communicate through English. In the afternoon lessons students will have the opportunity to develop their communicative proficiency by taking part in discussions, topical debates and activities using real life English for work and everyday use. Their teachers will provide error correction and extra pronunciation work so that you can increase your overall confidence with the language.
