About 2-Term Pathway - Incorporated Bachelor Year Zero in Business and Law - Continue to Bachelor of Law (Honours) - Law (LLB)
Students can get the perfect start to their degree at De Montfort University with the International Year Zero (IYZ). Students will take an extra year of study at De Montfort University International College (DMUIC) in order to complete a degree at DMU. Students who take the IYZ will continue to the first year of study of their chosen International Incorporated Bachelor's degree programme at DMU.
Students will have individual subject tutors who will make sure that they are on track to achieve their study goals. Students will be given feedback both in person and in writing so that they always know how they are doing, and how to improve. Students will also be assessed through regular tests and exams.
Bachelor of Law (Honours) - Law
This qualifying Law degree combines academic rigour with projects that put legal training into practice to develop the skills employers look for.
This specialised, fully-qualifying law degree provides students with the classic route to training as a legal professional.
It focuses on criminal law and criminal justice, giving students knowledge of how the criminal justice system works, an understanding of crime and its effects on society, and how they as a legal professional can develop strategies to combat or prosecute against it.
Students will study in dedicated law environment, which includes a mock courtroom, client interviewing room and an integrated law library.
Study a range of topics such as Family Law, Issues in Civil Liberties, Substantive Law of the European Union and Law of Evidence.
Recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board, this course is a qualifying Law degree covering the academic stage of training for solicitors and barristers.
