About 3-Term Pathway - Incorporated Bachelor Year Zero in Media - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - English Language with Mandarin
Students can get the perfect start to their degree at De Montfort University with the International Year Zero (IYZ). Students will take an extra year of study at De Montfort University International College in order to complete a degree at DMU. Students who take the IYZ will continue to the
first year of study of their chosen International Incorporated Bachelor's degree programme at DMU.
Students will have individual subject tutors who will make sure that they are on track to achieve their study goals. Students will be given feedback both in person and in writing so that they always know how they are doing, and how to improve. Students will also be assessed through regular tests and exams.
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - English Language with Mandarin
English Language with Mandarin BA (Hons) is a stimulating, thought-provoking courses designed to make students think about how language functions in the world today.
Students will examine where English has come from and how it may evolve in an era of global change and technological innovation. They will discover how it works, both as a complex system for embodying ideas, emotions and beliefs, and as a means of influencing, persuading and moving others.
Students will develop a set of linguistic and analytical skills, which will help them become a highly-skilled communicator. This is a course about how language shapes the world; learn how language works, and the world will open up.
Students will develop their skills of written and spoken communication of two of the world's most powerful languages. English is currently the world's most widely spoken language.
