About 6 Weeks Pre-Sessional English + 3-Term Pathway - Incorporated Bachelor Year Zero in Media - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Music Technology
Students can get the perfect start to their degree at De Montfort University with the International Year Zero (IYZ). Students will take an extra year of study at De Montfort University International College (DMUIC) in order to complete a degree at DMU. Students who take the IYZ will continue to the first year of study of their chosen International Incorporated Bachelor's degree programme at DMU.
This delivery of the IYZ programme includes a six week pre-sessional English course immediately preceding entry to the programme. Throughout the pre-sessional English and IYZ programme, students will be supported at DMUIC. Students will have individual subject tutors who will make sure that they are on track to achieve their study goals. Students will be given feedback both in person and in writing so that they always know how they are doing, and how to improve. Students will also be assessed through regular tests and exams.
Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Music Technology
Students can design a degree by combining music arts and sciences in their own way, and become an all-round music technology expert.
Music Technology is an innovative degree at DMU that will let students explore, choose, and develop the skills they want to shape their future in music industries. Exceptional opportunities in music technology can arise for individuals who can link creative vision with deep technical understanding.
The design of the Music Technology degree — the only one in the UK — reflects this. Every year students will be able to choose from a wide range of optional modules to tailor their knowledge of Music and Audio Technology: half of their modules from arts-oriented BA options and the other half from technology and science-oriented BSc options.
