English Language Preparation + 3 Term Pathway - International Foundation Year - Humanities, Law and Social Science - Transfer to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Education Studies

The programme is designed to develop Students English language skills and introduce students  to essential academic and study skills before travelling to the International Study Centre to begin their academic programme.

This International Foundation Year provides the subject knowledge, language proficiency and study skills students need to progress to degree study at the Durham University, Durham City campus in a range of subjects related to the humanities, law or social sciences.

After completing this pathway, students will transfer to the BA Education Studies program. Education Studies is a broad multi-disciplinary degree, designed for the intellectually and practically curious. From the philosophical foundations of schooling to the political implications of policy, education is a vast field that has multiple avenues to approach a seemingly straightforward subject. Our degree program goes far beyond any classroom and considers education, people and their relationship to the ever-changing world.
