Program Description
Students will develop a deep understanding of childhood development, educational theories and practice. They will also learn how to engage children in innovative and purposeful learning. Along with the compulsory education courses, they will have the option of a range of discipline specific electives. Primary Specialisation options include: English, Mathematics, Science or Inclusive Education with a focus on English, Science or Mathematics. The new Inclusive Education stream will open up students' career choices, giving them the opportunity to pursue special education.
Students will be learning and developing classroom skills from their first semester of study, completing a minimum of 80 days of supervised teaching practice during the four years of your degree. Completing this program will qualify students to teach primary students up to Year 6.
