Program Description
This course encourages students to develop an interest and understanding of the current legal system in England and Wales.
Areas of study in year one include:
- Law making
- The civil and criminal process
- Legal personnel
- An introduction to the law of tort
Areas of study in year two include:
- Human rights law
- Criminal law
On this course students will develop strong problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. In the second year, students have the opportunity to participate in the Bar Mock Trials competition and compete for valuable work experience opportunities.
