Dual Degree - Bachelor of Science - Financial Planning & Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Husson’s Bachelor of Science in Financial Planning will prepare students to become an expert in the growing field of financial planning. They’ll learn the principles of investments, estate planning, personal financial planning, federal taxation and more. Students will gain experience before graduation through an internship built into their curriculum. Plus, they’ll be prepared to sit for the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP) exam, an important credential in the field.

The Financial Planning curriculum aligns with Certified Financial Planner (“CFP”) requirements and is a CFP Board registered program. This registered program provides students with the opportunity to sit for CFP Exam upon meeting all requirements. This program covers all the major areas of financial planning, including retirement, employee benefits, income tax, estate planning, and risk management. The Financial Planning Concentration has required classes in Financial Planning, Risk Management, Investments, Income Tax, Estate Tax, Retirement Planning,  and Financial Plan Development.

The program is most appropriate for those who intend to enter the financial planning profession as credit counselors, financial advisors, financial planners, wealth managers, or financial product representatives.

An MBA can increase students' marketability and give them a greater sense of confidence in what they bring to an organization. Those who would like to eventually earn their Master of Business Administration, consider enrolling in the BS/MBA track and earn both degrees in five years.
