About Agricultural and Food Sciences - Direct Entry - International Year One (UTP Stage II) (Optional Co-op)
UTP Stage II: Agricultural and Food Sciences is equivalent to the first year of a bachelor’s degree from the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences. Graduates of this faculty help nourish the world without costing the earth by developing sustainable agricultural practices, exploring renewable bio-resources and working to make our food safer and healthier.
For students who meets the direct entry English language requirements and the relevant academic requirements, they will be eligible for direct entry to UTP Stage II.
Upon successful completion of UTP Stage II, students transfer into the second year of their degree at the University of Manitoba, to continue with their Bachelor of Science program in one of the following areas of study:
- Agribusiness
- Agriculture (Areas of study: Animal Systems, Agronomy, OR Plant Biotechnology)
- Agroecology
- Food Science
- Human Nutritional Sciences
