Through effective integration of computing hardware and software, computing technology enables services essential to modern life. The Bachelor of Science in Information Technology offers a core of courses that give students a broad command of the concepts and skills that will enable them to describe, implement, service, and maintain such technologies. It also offers concentrations that lead to a variety of in-demand technology certifications that give students more focused credentials and skillsets.
Information Technology students will:
- Learn how to analyze, design, implement and administer information systems
- Investigate leading-edge topics such as IT Security and Project Management
- Gain expertise in Web-based and object-oriented information technologies
- Develop and manage a project through the entire Systems Development Life Cycle
- Assemble an online portfolio that will demonstrate their strengths to their current or future employer
