Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Illustration and Animation (Top-Up) (W222)

This is a top-up version of London Metropolitan University's Illustration and Animation BA (Hons) degree. A top-up degree is the final year (Level 6) of an undergraduate degree course and is for those who have a foundation degree, Higher National Diploma or equivalent qualification, or those wishing to study the final year of their degree in London.

In this degree, students will learn image-making and visual storytelling skills, specifically looking at children’s books, graphic novels and app design.

This course is industry-focused. It will help students develop their creativity and hone the skills they'll need to be a professional illustrator and animator.

They'll study digital platforms as well as more traditional forms of illustration. The course embraces ongoing developments in illustration and animation. London Met explores how modern illustration is practiced and how techniques are no longer confined to the page but inhabit a dynamic, three-dimensional digital world.

An International Bright Futures Scholarship in the amount of £3,000 will automatically be applied to eligible students with overseas fee status starting a degree with London Met in the 2024/25 academic year. This scholarship includes a tuition fee reduction for the duration of students' studies and is applicable to both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. 

Tuition Deposit is £4,000 for all students excluding those from Punjab and Haryana for whom the deposit amount will remain at 50%
