4-Term Pathway - Extended Undergraduate Foundation Program - Business, Economics, Finance and Management - Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Accounting and Finance

The 4-term program offers successful students guaranteed progression to London South Bank University. Students will study their Foundation program at the ONCampus London South Bank University Centre located at the heart of the London South Bank University campus. This extended program is available for students who do not have the required English language level for the 3-term pathway. The program lasts for 4 terms and includes an English language module (ELPP) followed by 3 terms of Undergraduate Foundation Program (UFP).

The program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at London South Bank University. All students who successfully complete the Undergraduate Foundation Program are guaranteed placement on a suitable program of undergraduate study at London South Bank University. The Undergraduate Foundation Program is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the United Kingdom.

The year begins with an English language module and then the next three terms are divided into seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week, and half a term of English language. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.

English Language forms up to six hours of the timetable, is compulsory for students who are below the required level for progression, and will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects as well as being taught separately if additional support is needed. Students who are at or above the required English level for progression are likely to follow a reduced timetable.

Progress to Bachelor of Arts (Honors) - Accounting and Finance

One of the most popular options on graduating is to go on to train as a chartered accountant. There are many different directions to pursue, specializing in financial reporting, taxation, auditing, or forensic accounting.

This program has an optional placement year. When students complete a placement year, they’ll be awarded a differentiated degree entitled BA (Hons) Accounting and Finance (with Placement). The assessment of the placement is designed to support and accredit their experience by formalizing their personal development outcomes, and by contextualizing their prior learning. The production of evidence to a relevant professional body, which includes a minimum of two workplace visits over the year, will provide students with a supportive structure to work in. Regular online contact with tutors, peer-contact, and placement support will be maintained throughout the year.
