4-Term Pathway - Extended Undergraduate Foundation Program - Engineering and Physical Sciences - Continue to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Engineering Product Design

The 4-term program offers successful students guaranteed progression to London South Bank University. Students will study their Foundation program at the ONCampus London South Bank University Center located at the heart of the London South Bank University campus. This extended program is available for students who do not have the required English language level for the 3-term pathway. It includes an English language module (ELPP) followed by 3 terms of Undergraduate Foundation Program (UFP).

The program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at London South Bank University. All students who successfully complete the Undergraduate Foundation Program are guaranteed placement on a suitable undergraduate program at London South Bank University. The Undergraduate Foundation Program is set at level 3, equivalent to A-level standard in the United Kingdom.

The year begins with an English language module, followed by three terms divided into seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week, with half a term of English language. On average, students will undertake 21 (up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week.

English Language forms up to six hours of the timetable and is compulsory for students below the required level for progression. It will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects and taught separately for additional support. Students at or above the required English level for progression are likely to follow a reduced timetable.

Progress to Bachelor of Science (Honors) - Engineering Product Design

Students who blend creative thinking with scientific insight could become engineering product designers, creating solutions for various problems. This design course is accredited for Incorporated Engineer, bridging the gap between product design and mechanical engineering. London South Bank University will keep students updated with the latest design and manufacturing technologies.

Core skills and experience will be built, including design drawings, digital design skills in CAD and graphics, technical engineering analysis, presentation and communication skills, and the production of working prototypes. Students will also have opportunities to experience the industry and build their network through live briefs, industry career talks, work placements, and the final year degree show.
