About Academic Accelerator - Bachelor of Science - Chemistry - Biological Chemistry
The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program designed for international students with strong English-language skills. It provides additional support to complement English-taught classes and ensure academic success.
Students enrolled in the Academic Accelerator Program will benefit from:
- Tailored support for academic and English language needs
- A full year’s worth of college credits
- Access to courses specifically for international students
- English language assistance for class-related vocabulary
- A diverse range of classes with both international and U.S. students
The Department of Chemistry offers a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with eight areas of concentration available for majors, to be chosen by sophomore year. These concentrations, such as Biological Chemistry and Environmental Chemistry, prepare students for careers in chemistry or related fields like medicine or education.
The Biological Chemistry concentration, for example, focuses on enhancing students’ understanding of the chemistry and structure of living systems.
