About Bachelor of Arts - Community Mental Health
NEC’s Bachelor of Arts in Community Mental Health is a four-year on-campus degree. It is designed as a co-op program in coordination with the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services and its 10 community mental health centers. This enables students to work and earn while they learn.
The cooperative major integrates 30 credits of hands-on, experiential learning in a mental health setting. Apply the coursework in real-world settings while earning money and college credit. This program uniquely features two paid immersive working experiences, or co-ops. During each co-op, students will work with clients in the community to provide direct client care, help with daily activities in the community, and perhaps even lead group counseling sessions.
