About College Diploma - Wireless Systems Engineering Technology

What do GPS, 5G, Bluetooth and broadband have in common? They’re all part of the fast-changing world of wireless communications! As the communication of voice, video and data continues to converge worldwide, there is an increasing demand for employees who have sound theoretical knowledge and highly-specialized technical skills. In the NAIT Wireless Systems Engineering Technology program, students will develop the skills they’ll need to get started in a wireless systems career.

  2. Communications infrastructure and transport media - infrastructure of communications systems, methods of communication systems transmission, site planning, and building wiring
  3. Enterprise (business infrastructure) and industrial communications systems (industrial applications) - broadband wireless technologies, enterprise data communications systems, land mobile concepts, wireless communication systems for industrial applications and personal communication technologies
  4. Systems and business management and final research project – includes oral presentation, written communications, interpersonal and teamwork skills, analytical thinking and problem solving

International Bachelor of Technology (BTech) Pathway

International students looking to study in Canada can take advantage of a 4-year degree pathway that allows them to earn a technology diploma and a Bachelor of Technology in Management (BTech) degree from NAIT. This pathway also makes them eligible to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), enabling them to stay in Canada and work after graduation. Students will start with an in-demand technology diploma before continuing into the BTech degree program.

Bachelor of Technology

The BTech program builds upon students' technology diplomas, helping them develop skills in leadership, problem solving, business strategy, and risk management. The combination of their technology diploma and BTech degree will open up more employment and career opportunities in various industries and roles, such as project management, operations management, and sustainability management.
