Bachelor of Science - Biology

Program Description

Large institutions just can’t provide the individualized attention and opportunity students will find at ONU. As freshmen, students will work in the lab with real professors – not graduate assistants or lab instructors. Throughout their four years, they'll design and conduct their own experiments, work on independent projects, and assist professors with grant-funded research. Most biology students present their research at regional and national conferences. 

As Biology majors, students also have the option to choose a pre-professional track in physical therapy, occupational therapy, physician assistant, pre-optometry, pre-dentistry, pre-veterinary science, or pre-med. From the time they arrive on campus until they graduate, they'll be guided by a faculty advisor. Students will enjoy small class sizes and amazing friendships with their fellow biology majors. ONU's dedicated professors will get to know them. They will support students in their coursework, research, internships, co-ops, post-graduate or career preparations. They will become personally invested in students' success – in college and beyond.
