Bachelor of Arts - Communication - Film and Media Studies

The PLU Communication degree is designed to provide students with both theory and practice in the field—meaning students will learn how to explain and predict, but also apply directly what they're learning in the classroom to real-world opportunities and challenges. Communication is the top-rated skill in almost every profession, and PLU communication students will learn to write, speak, create, and produce across platforms—print, radio, television, digital, interpersonal, organizational, emergent. Hands-on learning is the core of the program. Graduates will be ready to pursue a career in media, strategy and campaigns, public relations, advertising, social media, journalism, film making, marketing and more.
