Bachelor of Science - Sports Management

An integral part of the Health and Fitness Studies department, the Bachelor of Science in Sport Management program at Regis College provides a broad-based exposure to the discipline of sport management, and encourages students to apply foundational knowledge, develop critical thinking skills, and participate in hands-on learning experiences.

The learning modalities include course lectures, assignments, and experiential education activities, supplemented by facility visits and guest speakers. Students gain practical experience in event planning, facility evaluation, marketing and promotion, and developing an athletic administration manual. Students are also encouraged to gain experience outside of the classroom as they progress through the program, and must complete two internships during their senior year of study.

Students in a wide variety of majors may choose to add a minor in sport management. The minor includes two introductory courses and four upper level courses in sport management. sport management majors are also encouraged to add a minor in a related area of interest such as global business management, communication, or athletic coaching.

Regis College's Sport Management degree program has been granted Candidacy Status by the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA).
