Internet of Things and Machine Intelligence Program
Use of Internet of Things (IoT) devices is projected to triple by 2030 as industry and individuals become more reliant on smart technology. Learn how to build and maintain equipment that makes the world better, safer and more efficient. Students will study concepts that are pillars of the Industry 4.0 revolution, including artificial intelligence, sensors, robotics, cybersecurity and cloud computing.
Learn to work with industry-standard equipment and technology. Sheridan's dynamic mix of labs, case studies, project work and other interactive assessments is designed to prepare students for real-world environments. Students will be supported by professors who not only hold PhD and PEng credentials but also have extensive experience working in IoT and automation.
Urban Design Program
Cities need designers who understand the built environment. This eight-month graduate certificate responds to that demand, teaching students to design inclusive and sustainable solutions that connect and integrate urban landscapes. Sheridan is one of the few colleges in Canada to offer this niche training, which is traditionally taught in master's level studies.
The state-of-the-art Hazel McCallion Campus is a living lab for urban designers, surrounded by new development in the heart of Mississauga. Be inspired by the blank canvas of opportunity around students or make the short trip to Toronto to generate more ideas. Students will also have the chance to propose real-world solutions during a field placement with an urban design firm or industry partner.
Sheridan is well-known as a leader in design education. Learn from professors who have strong academic backgrounds and extensive industry experience in built environments. They'll teach students how to apply software skills to create visualizations of urban environments. Students will also study concepts of mobility, wayfinding, placemaking, ecology and more.
