Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - English Literature and German (With a Year Abroad) (QR32)

Swansea University's English Literature and German with a Year Abroad degree is an exciting and challenging course, which course opens up a range of career possibilities by helping students to develop transferable skills that employers value.

Students can explore national and global literatures including Renaissance writings, Gothic and genre fiction, 19th century literature, contemporary fiction, gender and culture, creative and professional writing together with the language, culture, history, cinema and literature of modern Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Course content ranges from national and global literatures, Renaissance, 19th century and contemporary literature, Gothic and genre fiction, creative and professional writing to German history, language, literature, film, translation and teaching.

Students will have an academic mentor if they need any pastoral or academic support and they have the chance to experience living in Germany for a year.
